After a critically acclaimed and multi-award nominated run last year, Almanac Dance Circus Theatre’s "The Fleecing" returns as a completely new, immersive, multidisciplinary digital production. The Fleecing casts audience members as acolytes in the fictional “Order of Mammon,” a secret society dedicated to greed. In this virtual production, audience members choose their own path through the story. They can have their fortune told in a private Zoom, discover secret missions and public prostheltizers, or enjoy a stunning acrobatic performance as they unravel the mystery of the Bumblefish’s disappearance. Be wary: in the new world, the only constant in change. Featuring an ensemble of 20 of Philadelphia's most talented multi-disciplinary performers.

Accessing the Performance: It is recommended that audience members view the performance with a laptop or desktop computer with headphones, Google Chrome, and the latest version of Zoom. The piece cannot be viewed on a phone. The show is participatory, and auto-generated captioning will be provided wherever possible. Audience members will be invited to show video and may be asked to unmute themselves, and participate through chat, polls, and other interactive activities. We recommend watching in a cozy, quiet part of your home with a drink, preferably in the part of your space where the telluric energies of the earth are most aligned with the aquarian ascendent.
