Workshops in Exile: The Play Reading Workshop

Are you interested in learning what happens in a professional rehearsal? Have you ever wondered how an actor and director work together to interpret a play? In this two-part workshop via Zoom, Deborah Block will work with participants to bring to life Theatre Exile’s past hit show: ​Gruesome Playground Injuries​. In the first workshop, participants will be assigned to read for specific parts of this play, and learn some of the skills that actors and directors use in bringing a play to life. In the second workshop, participants will do a full read-through of the play together, guided by Deborah’s vision and directiony. All participants will be assigned parts to read, and they can invite friends and family to watch the final reading on Zoom. Join us for this unique workshop opportunity!
