A devised theatre production about loneliness, the gut/heart-centered, all-consuming, universal feeling so many became acquainted with during the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The show will be presented as a series of vignettes featuring an original score and dynamic cast of local actors, dancers, movers, and vocalists.
The Loneliness Project was inspired in part by David Whyte’s summation of the experience as written in his book, “Consolations: The Solace, Nourishment and Underlying Meaning of Everyday Words.
A portion of proceeds from The Loneliness Project will be donated to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund, a 501(c)(3) research fund designed to dramatically accelerate research, make bold bets, and focus exclusively on finding a cure.
Written & Directed by Lauren Earline Leonard with contributions from Monica Flory & Kristen Humbert. Production Design and Photography by Joanna Nowak.
