Protest - Walnut Street Theatre

For too long, artists have not felt safe at Walnut Street Theatre. Friday June 18th at 5pm we will meet at Independence Mall and march down Walnut St to the theatre and beyond. Please share! When, The Walnut St Theatre was asked what they’ve been doing for the past 15 months for BIPOC, trans, disabled, and marginalized artists, their response was to take legal action to intimidate community members. We won't stand for it. We are taking community demands for the protest. Feel free submit them to [email protected] We are ALSO looking for folks who want to lift their voices with us at the protest. You can share your story, or read a friends, and help speak to how so many feel unsafe working at The Walnut Street Theatre. If you’re interested, email us at [email protected] We are hoping to have a beautifully diverse group of speakers. Join us, my friends. If you’re interested in submitting demands, visit @protecttheartistphl on Instagram and check out the stories! Love you.
