AUDITION FAQ:

Who is eligible to audition for the college day on June 27th?

If you graduated in 2020, 2021, or 2022, and can provide proof of residence in the Greater Philadelphia region (35 mile radius of Philadelphia’s City Hall), you are eligible to submit for a timeslot. You do not need to have attended a local college program in order to apply, but we are asking for current local residency for the purposes of these auditions.

I cannot attend on June 27th. Am I able to submit a virtual audition?

Yes.  We are accepting virtual recorded auditions from those who register, meet the eligibility criteria and either cannot, or are not selected to, attend in-person. The same residency requirements will apply.

What do I need to prepare for the audition?

Please prepare 3 minutes of material. This is open-ended so that registrants can showcase work of your choosing. Traditional song and monologue are completely acceptable. If you plan to sing, please bring sheet music, properly marked, for your accompanist.

What do I need to bring with me to the in-person audition if selected?

All registrants will need to send a digital headshot and resume, plus proof of college graduation in the eligible years, in advance of the audition. You do not need to arrive with hard copies of your headshots and resumes as producers will have access to the digital files that you send prior to your audition. Please bring proof of vaccination and a photo ID with you when you arrive onsite.

What is the masking policy during the audition?

As per PTC’s Covid Policy, anyone onsite for any duration of time must be properly wearing a mask that covers the nose and mouth. Once onstage for your audition, you may remove your mask and replace it once complete.

I am not eligible for these college auditions.  When will the regular GPAAs return?

Stay tuned for information regarding additional dates.

PTC’s Covid Policy:

Anyone on-site at the Theatre for any duration of time must be fully vaccinated on their COVID-19 vaccination series, as defined by the CDC, and be able to submit proof to PTC.

If a patron or artist has a medical or religious exemption or is not eligible to receive the vaccine (including those too young to be eligible), they must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken by a medical professional within 48 hours of the performance (audition) start time. At home test results will not be accepted.

Anyone on-site at the Theatre for any duration of time must be properly wearing a mask that covers the nose and mouth. Masks will be provided if needed. Anyone not wearing  a mask will be asked to wear one, and PTC reserves the right to escort anyone out to refuses to comply. Once you are on the stage, you do not have to wear a mask.
