A clown walks into a funeral.

He walks out with a seemingly supernatural problem, with no solution in sight.

Facepaint is a character-driven dark comedy with elements of slapstick that follows three individuals: Harold, a professional clown whose fear of divine punishment following a half-baked act of devotion at a dead friend’s funeral has him spiral out of control; Annette, a personal injury lawyer whose cheating husband and impending divorce puts her on a self-destructive warpath; and Maria, Annette’s employee and Harold’s wife, who is caught in the middle of it all.

A play about young people forced to reckon with grief, love, relationships and fear of God, Facepaint is a genre-bending piece of theater not to be missed.
