The Alliance for Jewish Theatre (AJT), an international network of theatres, will bring together theatre-makers from across the U.S. and abroad to its October 21-23 conference hosted by Philadelphia’s Theatre Ariel, in partnership with the theatres-in-residence at the Drake. With a focus on creating new Jewish theatre, the conference will provide participants with opportunities to connect, discover, learn and be inspired!
Conference Highlights:
A keynote delivered by Adam Kantor, currently in Tony the award-winning "The Band's Visit.” Philadelphia playwright Jacqueline Goldfinger will lead a playwright's workshop, and a panel on new play development led by PlayPenn Artistic Director Paul Meshejian.
Performances:
Sunday, Oct. 21: 8 PM in Bryn Mawr - Theatre Ariel's Salon performance of Trayf by Lindsay Joelle. Join us for an evening of theatre, conversation, and a dessert reception. Monday, Oct. 22: 8 PM at the Drake Theatre - A Showcase of excerpts from new plays and solo performances by Alliance for Jewish theatre artists. Tickets at the door $15.00.
