Eagle Theatre Seeking Resident Music Director for 22/23 Season

Eagle Theatre is looking for a resident Music Director for our 22/23 season. Although our shows have not been publicly announced, we will be doing two full length musicals-- please see details below in timeline.

Compensation and Timeline

Rate $400/week  (when in production/shows)

Rehearsal times subject to change but generally are held over 4 weeks

T,W,Th (6-10PM), Sa & Su (12-8) 

Performances dates/times subject to change but generally held over 3 weeks

Th (8PM),F (8PM), Sa (8PM), Su (3PM)

Show 1: Title TBA (Rehearsals in September, performances in October)

Show 4: Title TBA (Rehearsals in May, performances in June)

Expectations

  • If available, may participate in casting (held in July, 2022)

  • Responsible for hiring and overseeing and scheduling pit musicians in collaboration with Producing Artistic Director 

  • Responsible for teaching all music and providing recorded rehearsal tracks for all cast members

  • Responsible for teaching choral/company music in a timely and effective manner at rehearsals

  • Expected to do all prep work, including knowing which actor will sing which vocal part prior to the start of rehearsal

  • Must be proficient in piano and accompaniment

  • Ability to teach various music styles (musical theatre, pop-rock, jazz, etc)  

  • Experience music directing and conducting at a professional level
