REPORTS TO: Company Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt, Seasonal, August – June each year

PAY RANGE: $25/hour, 40 hours weekly

START DATE: August 8th, 2022 – can be flexible

McCarter seeks a Full Time Company Management Assistant to McCarter’s guest artists. The Company Management Assistant is a highly visible representative of McCarter, and maintains excellent relationships with the Company Manager, artists, and staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating and executing local ground travel for artists and grocery runs for theatre series company.
  • Prep and maintain McCarter housing for visiting artists, including purchasing supplies and coordinating cleaning services.
  • Coordinate ticket requests for theatre series design and creative team in collaboration with Patron Services.
  • Run errands as required for the theatre series company and presented event artists.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of welcome and onboarding materials for theatre series visiting artists and stage managers.
  • Serve as the COVID Safety Monitor on theatre series productions as needed.
  • Provide day-of support for hospitality needs for presented events. 
  • Support staff-wide events, parties and projects.
  • Adhere to safe working practices and follow all McCarter safety policies.
  • Participate in the work to make McCarter an anti-racist theater.

 Required Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, communicative, maintain a positive outlook, and have a great sense of humor.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects; maintain confidential information with discretion; and exercise good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Experience working as a stage or events manager a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the AEA, SDC, USA, and LORT a plus. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency using standard software and web-based applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Tessitura and/or ArtsVision is a plus.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, include many evenings and weekends.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required. Must be comfortable driving a passenger van in various weather conditions including heavy rain and snow.
  • Proof of COVID Vaccination with boosters as appropriate.
  • Willingness to engage in conversations as McCarter builds a culture of Inclusion.
