Eagle Theatre (Hammonton, NJ) is seeking candidates for a Box Office & Facilities Assistant. This position will be a temporary part-time role, approximately 16 hours per week, running from the date of hire through June 30, 2022. In addition to the above hours, this person will be permitted to work additional, limited evening box office hours during our two spring productions, in March and May of 2022, or any additional spring programming. This will, ideally, be an on-site position at the theatre’s offices, and the employee hired will need to be fully vaccinated, per CDC guidelines, and adhere to Eagle Theatre’s COVID-19 and vaccination policies.

This position will have shared reporting responsibilities to our Managing Director, Matthew Reddin, and our Technical Director/Production Manager, Michael Avagliano. The role’s primary responsibility is to process phone calls to the company’s box office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., as well as manage email communications/sales and keep the physical box office prepared for events. The Box Office & Facilities assistant will be asked to work two days per week, ideally Wednesday and Friday.

As a secondary responsibility, the employee will assist our TD/PM with recurring facilities management tasks in the theatre as well as at the company’s adjacent offices. Once productions begin, in March, the employee will be eligible to take on additional shifts in the early evening before performances, during which they will be responsible for managing all box office sales and reservations with the support of Eagle Theatre front-of-house staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing single and subscription ticket sales by phone, mail, email, and (when open to the public again) in-person.

  • Database entry tasks to manage/maintain PatronManager ticketing system and customer records

  • Manage Eagle Theatre phone system and respond to missed phone calls 

  • Respond to inquiries made by patrons either through email or phone and either provide assistance or direct to the appropriate person

  • Cash and check reconciliation at the end of every shift (when conducting in-person sales)

  • Organizing and restocking of Eagle Theatre supplies with the assistance of the TD/PM and front-of-house staff

  • Cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned

  • Attendance at management meetings when requested

Pre-existing knowledge of PatronManager or other ticketing/CRM systems is a plus, but not required. Applicants should be self-motivated, and inclined to provide quality customer service that is kind and efficient to all potential patrons. While the Eagle’s work-from-home/remote work policy is currently more flexible due to the pandemic, the secondary duties of this position require this to be a predominantly in-person position at this time.

Payment/Benefits: The Box Office & Facilities Assistant position is considered temporary part-time (16 hours/week). Pay will be hourly, at $13 p/hr. This position will not be eligible for any benefits. Eagle Theatre offers a flexible and understanding working environment for employees.
