The Associate Producer manages projects for the Bearded Ladies, focusing on both the big picture and day-to-day tasks.


On artistic projects, their job is to create the conditions that allow artists to do their work. They consult on the design of projects, planning and budgeting resources to realize them practically. They have conversations with various stakeholders around the artistic goals of the creative team; the role of artists, audiences, and partners; and the logistics of realizing these goals. They also act as (or supervise) the line producer for Bearded Ladies projects - managing budgets, hiring and contracts, and artist care.


Outside of projects, they are an accountability partner around values, and a planning consultant for the Artistic Director and Associate Artistic Director.


This role is currently a 25 hour a week role. W2 position, salaried, health benefits available, $28,600 gross annually.

  • Preference for applicants with at least 5 years experience in large scale producing for live performing arts or special events

  • Preference for 5+ experience in budget management (ideally with project budgets over $50,000)


The Associate Producer can work remotely for the bulk of their time but some hours must be in person at the Beards’ office in West Philadelphia, pending COVID pandemic conditions. They will be required to attend weekly staff check ins, and all pertinent project meetings. Some nights and weekends will be required. The Associate Producer must be based in the Philadelphia area.
