Ethos Physical Theatre Company

Ethos, New Jersey's first physical theatre company, was founded by Aaron Rose and Justine Parks. Rose earned his Theatre degree from Southwestern College in Winfield, KS and Parks studied Kinesiology/Movement Science at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduation, Rose spent many years working as a professional puppeteer and circus performer. Parks discovered circus aerials after a gymnastics injury. Later, she began performing memoir storytelling, writing short plays and murder mystery parties. The two began collaborating artistically in 2015. Together, they tell evocative stories through performances that integrate puppetry, circus aerials and masks. Their first major production, "Matador", written and performed by Parks and directed by Rose, debuted at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival in 2016. They are currently working together on their second large production, "Faustus", an adaptation of Christopher Marlowe's "Doctor Faustus", starring Rose and directed by Parks.
