The Gospel at Colonus is a clap-your-hands, on-your feet, make a joyful noise celebration that unites today's diverse audience through the powerful medium of jubilant spiritual music. Told in the preaching cadences and ecstatic song of the African American Church, The Gospel at Colonus transforms the ancient myth into a contemporary experience that you can literally feel from inside.

Once a great king, now a cursed outcast, blind at the end of his life, Oedipus wanders in search of sanctuary and the blessing of a peaceful "resting place." The Gospel at Colonus is a story of suffering, of forgiveness and ultimately a story of love.

The production is massive with 60 people on stage including singers, actors, musicians and nationally renowned Gospel stars including the amazing voices of Bishop Bruce Parham, Audrey Mickell, Marilyn Brewington, and Paula and Charlene Holloway.
