The famed classic anti-apartheid play, Master Harold, was initially banned in South Africa, first being produced by Yale Rep in 1982 and later on Broadway. This semi-autographical piece played a major role in awakening world-wide consciousness of Apartheid injustices and influenced the South Africa divestment movement in the U.S.
