BYOB Event! This workshop is the audience’s first introduction to the artist’s project, showcasing the very first musical concepts and excerpts. Throughout this performance, the audience is engaged in a discussion about what “jazz” is today, and the artist shares background information, research, and musical inspirations for the new work they are writing.

Jazz Residency Project: Luke Carlos O’Reilly, a composer specializing in piano, is focusing on the Black Lives Matter movement with choreographer Sanchel Brown and lyricist Pannan Hewitt.
