You’re about to see the biggest comedy event in Philadelphia this year!
The ComedySportz World Championship 2019. Thirty teams from across the United States and Kingdom descend on the City of Brotherly Love to compete for your laughs and the title of ComedySportz World Champion.
Championship matches take place July 25-27, 2019 at The Wilma Theater (265 S. Broad Street) on The Avenue of the Arts.
WHAT IS COMEDYSPORTZ?
If you come to see ComedySportz®, you'll see one Referee and two teams of Players, one red and one blue-- competing against each other in improv games based on the suggestions of the fans watching the match! There are seven to ten games per match, with the occasional Volunteer Player joining us on the field!
Everything is made up on the spot. Nothing is rehearsed. ComedySportz Players are trained performers and comedians, quick-witted and funny and compete as hard as they can to make sure the fans in our audience are laughing.
ComedySportz® Started in Milwaukee in 1984, and has been entertaining fans across the US and Europe for 30+ years, including right here in Philadelphia.
