STUCK by Audrey Cefaly

February 14, 2018 at 6:30PM

Featuring Jessica Bedford and Sean Close

Directed by Kathryn MacMillan

Bob and Betty are out on their second date when things go terribly wrong. Eager for acceptance, Bob pretends to be more than he is. Betty, new to the world of dating following a recent divorce, struggles to calibrate dating dos and don'ts as she lurches forward into single life. Miscommunication and misfires lead to a delightful conclusion in this contemporary farce about finding love.

ROMAN FEVER by Edith Wharton, adapted by Hugh Leonard

February 15, 2018 at 6:30PM

Directed by Brey Ann Barrett

On a terrace in Rome in 1930, elegant Americans--and seemingly dear friends--Mrs. Slade and Mrs. Ansley are reminiscing about a Roman holiday they shared many years before. Under the surface of their cheerful chatter, however, Mrs. Slade is envious of Mrs. Ansley's daughter's recent, highly advantageous, engagement. Mrs. Slade cannot resist a subtle, spiteful attack on her old friend...but underestimating Mrs. Ainsley may get her more than she bargained for.

LOVE RESTORED...ABRIDGED by Jesse Brownstein

February 16, 2018 at 6:30PM

Directed by Elaina DiMonaco

Will the charismatic rake Dashington and the witty ingenue Halcya fall in love? Will Halcya escape her father's demand she marry the doltish Young Bellend? Will our fop Sir Jay Poppins make a fool of himself? Will everything work out in the end? Of course! The conventions of romantic comedy demand it, after all. Love Restored, Abridged is a contemporary send-up of the familiar tropes of classical comedy: young love, parents vs. children, & gender politics, all presented with a thoroughly saucy, thoroughly modern edge.
