Now in its 23rd year, the Fringe Festival is a three-week, Philadelphia-wide celebration of innovation and creativity through performance, visual, and digital art. Each September, the Fringe Festival explodes into every nook and cranny of neighborhoods across Philadelphia, with more than 1,000 artistically daring performances.
Join us at one these many performances or at some of the exciting free events happening around the Fringe Festival. Featured events include: Fringe Festival Kickoff Party feat. The Illustrious Blacks on Sept 6, Fringe Festival Halftime Party: FEELS with DJ HVNLEE on Sept 14, the Artist & Makers Fair on Sept 15, Fringe Festival Quizzo on Sept 18, and the Fringe Festival Closing Night Party on Sept 21.
Make sure to also join us at the Fringe Festival Bookstore at Cherry Street Pier! Open Thursday–Sunday from Sept 5–22, the Bookstore will be a site for browsing books and publications, sourced and sold by Head House Books, by and about the artists in the 2019 Fringe Festival, as well as a site to delve deeper into the Curated Fringe Festival shows at a series of intimate conversations and live podcasts with the artists and community partners behind the shows.
