Lighting Designer

Wolf Performing Arts Center (Wolf PAC) is a non-profit theater dedicated to enriching the lives of young people through learning, creating and experiencing theatre.  Our fall season will consist of 3 shows: Willy Wonka KIDS and The Miracle Worker running simultaneously and The Phantom Tollbooth.  The lighting designer will create and implement lighting designs for each show while either operating the board for the performances or training a student assistant.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in lighting design
  • Working knowledge of electrics
  • Experience and comfort working with children of all ages (Background clearances required)
  • Collaborating with other designers and volunteers to effectively design three productions running simultaneously

Responsibilities:

  • Attend 2-3 production meetings and designer runs
  • Hang, focus and design lighting for three productions
  • Operate light board for all 8 performances
  • Reset all lighting instruments during strike

Tech and performances run November 25th – December 10th at Rotwitt Theater in Rosemont College and January 5-21 at Wolf Performing Arts Center.
