Technical Director

La Salle University - "The Masque" Student Organization
Post Date: Nov 4, 2019

The Masque of La Salle University prides itself on being a student-run theater organization. This Spring they will be putting on a production of And Then There Were None. The show will take place over the last weekend of March and the first weekend of April, with the rehearsal and tech process beginning in mid-January. The role of the Technical Director is to work directly with the Vice President of Technical Affairs (a student) as well as the other students involved in tech for the production.  The job would include designing the set, along with the VP Tech and director, and then building the set throughout the weeks prior to opening.  The job also includes encouraging other members of the production team to properly do their job, while helping in any department that is necessary (props, costumes, lighting, sound, carpentry).  Experience in these other departments is helpful, but we do need someone with experience in building.  Tech build nights are typically 7-10 PM, somewhere between Monday and Thursday.  Typically, tech is held 2-3 days a week, depending on the point in the process, as well as the size of the set, and availability of the TD, VP Tech, and the tech members. Payment is negotiable.

How to Apply

If you have any questions or would like to apply, please email your directing and tech design resumes, as well as any other relevant materials to the Masque's President and Producer, Thomas Harris, at masque@lasalle.edu. The deadline to apply is November 22nd and interviews will be scheduled on an individual basis shortly after.
