ASAP/After School Activities Partnerships

ASAP Drama is seeking teaching artists (workshops September 2019- May 2020) to support city-wide, K-12th grade programming.T eaching artist selected will lead programs (some curriculum-based, others open-ended) with a Philadelphia site for approximately 24 weeks, that are sixty minutes long during the afterschool hours (ranges from 3-5:30pm). Teaching Artists will be paid an hourly rate and checks will be received bi-weekly, as well as have ongoing opportunities for additional work. 

  • Attend professional development sessions geared towards ASAP Drama and targeted curriculum
  • Remain in communication with host site contact and ASAP Drama
  • Lead weekly 60 minute workshops and use assessment tools
  • Co-direct student devised work centered on themes, motifs, and concepts explored in the curriculum given.
  • Assist in the planning of the Student Masterclass in winter 2020 (additional paid opportunity to lead workshops)
  • Assist in planning of the Targeted model Showcases in Feb/March 2020
  • Assist with gathering data, feedback, and assessment tools (surveys, discussions, videos, etc.)
  • Support the ASAP Drama Festival in May 2020 (additional paid opportunities)
  • Other opportunities for additional paid work/projects offered throughout year
