Seeking performers for Mythik Camps summer programs, a mythology-themed outdoor experience for kids aged 7-11. An outdoor immersive children's live-action story adventure event.

Performers join on quest day to bring tales from mythology, history, and fiction to life. We plunge campers into the center of the action. They are transported to another world and given the chance to prove themselves as legendary heroes. There are (foam) sword fights, puzzles, negotiations, and performance challenges as they journey to complete their heroic weekly quest. Some roles this summer include:

Agamemnon / Ensemble : Once commander of all the Greeks in the Trojan War, Agamemnon had the (totally deserved) worst homecoming ever. Now he’s on a redemption quest - but without actually having to do the redeeming himself part. He shows up at camp, doing his best impression of a Heroic Ally and asking for help with his comeback campaign - but this guy is clearly sus. It’s the Phoenix Egg he’s really after. Any Ethnicity. Masc.

Ammit / Ensemble: The Devourer of Souls does not want this one. She only devours wicked souls. Psyche’s her friend. They do cross-pantheon consultations. She’s come to the demigods for help so that no one who will eat Psyche’s soul gets a hold of it. Egyptian/Egyptian-American, Black/African Descent. Femme.

Shango / Ensemble : Long ago, Shango realized his destructive battle rage was too much for the earth and removed himself from it. He didn’t quite realize what Megara was up to when she borrowed his axes and now recognizes the need to set things right. Storms have their time and place, after all, and even tumultuous emotions have their good side. Black/African Descent. Masc.

Eurydice / Ensemble: Tired of waiting for Orpheus to figure out a way to rescue her, Eurydice found her own way out of the Underworld - but Orpheus didn’t know she was doing that, and was on his way back in just as she was leaving. The last thing Eurydice wants to do is go back into the Underworld, again - but she will, to retrieve Orpheus, if the demigods will help her. Any Ethnicity. Femme.

Megara / Ensemble : Wanting to ensure that what happened to her could never happen to anyone else, she borrowed Shango’s axes and tried to pull the inner storms out of all demigods, thinking this would protect them from the kind of possession and madness that overtook Heracles. But it went wrong, and the wild energy dispersed itself across the cosmos. Megara keeps trying to make it right - but it just keeps getting worse. Any Ethnicity. Femme.

Loki / Ensemble: He just happened to be on the bifrost when it shivered and shook him off. (Okay, maybe he was lining up a prank on Heimdall, but whatever). Landing in Midgard, he’s without any of his powers, and he actually doesn’t want to start Ragnarok right now. He’s more famous than ever and really enjoying his trips to Midgard - when they’re voluntary and don’t strip him of his powers. Any Ethnicity. Any Gender.

Iris / Ensemble : In trying to build a new cross-pantheon communication system (influenced by the creative energy of the Phoenix Egg), she… broke it. The more she tries to fix it, the more she makes it worse. The connection between earth and sky has gone haywire - and it starts affecting the realms of other pantheons. Any Ethnicity. Femme.

Other Featured Creatures: Basilisks, Bran’s Crew, Dragon-Touched, Aziza, Frost Giants, Ghouls, Cow-folk, Scorpions: Any Ethnicity. Any Gender.
