 Just outside of Philadelphia, Uncommon Schools Camden Prep, a highly successful charter public school, seeks full time performing arts teacher for 3rd-6th grade for an IMMEDIATE OPENING. We are seeking musical theatre teachers or professionals who are interested in teaching full time with competitive salary and benefits.

 Our rigorous program trains musical theatre skills: singing, acting, and movement, fulltime to students grade K-8, training them to become successful, creative communicators. We are looking for self-motivated and results-oriented performing arts professionals that have the skill and desire to train young students, expect high quality, and change lives through the performing arts within the framework of the Camden Prep structure. 

 Camden Prep seeks teachers who are committed to continuously improving instruction through collaboration with the performing arts team.  Responsibilities include working daily 7 AM to 5:30 PM August through June, daily teaching performing arts, directing minimum of 4 productions annually, assisting school routines and building school culture through community events. 


  • Musical Theatre skills such as singing-acting-moving, directing and or teaching
  • Evidence of self-motivation and willingness to be a team player
  • Bachelor’s degree is required and a minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Desire to teach in a highly structured urban school
