URSINUS COLLEGE SEEKS THEATER DIRECTOR FOR SPRING 2025
The Ursinus College Department of Theater and Dance is seeking a director for its first production of the Spring 2025 semester. On-campus auditions would be held in November or early December 2024; tech is Feb. 22-26, 2025; performances are Feb. 27-March 2, 2025. The production is slated for the Black Box Studio in the Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Center at Ursinus College (601 E. Main Street, Collegeville, PA 19426). The director is expected to participate in auditions; attend rehearsals; create a rehearsal schedule based on cast availability; collaborate with designers and production staff; and attend all production meetings (held via Zoom), rehearsals, tech dates, and performances. Previous directing experience in professional and/or academic settings required. Experience teaching and/or directing college students preferred. Applications from artists of color and women are encouraged. The play will be chosen by the department in consultation with the director based on our current student acting pool.
