Finance Associate

Summary: The Finance Associate is responsible for managing accounts receivables, supervising accounts payable entry, payroll, and assisting with budget reports. This position works directly with, and reports to, the Director of Finance. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reconcile daily ticketing reports with actual cash/checks in safe
  • Enter daily ticketing reports into QuickBooks accounting software
  • Prepare bank deposits and take to bank
  • Issue Invoices for Accounts Receivable
  • Track and enter payments for A/R
  • Call and collect on delinquent A/R accounts
  • Collect and enter vendor tax information
  • Supervise and train finance intern on expense entry
  • Assist with monthly credit card reconciliations
  • Cut, get signatures, and mail checks
  • Arrange wire transfers for foreign parties
  • Collect missing credit card and petty cash receipts
  • Manage A/R and A/P for FringeArts subsidiary accounts
  • Issue monthly invoices for services and utilities subsidiary accounts
  • Coordinate with external fundraising team regarding A/R and A/P for Gala event
  • Arrange petty cash needs for artists
  • Assist Finance Director with preparing budget reports
  • Enter payroll allocations in QuickBooks
  • Assist with year-end and audit preparations

Qualification & Requirements

Candidates must have a demonstrated facility for working with numbers, a keen attention to detail and organization, and a high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Must be comfortable with databases and have strong MS Office/Excel experience. Knowledge of QuickBooks and SalesForce, a love of puzzles, and an interest in the arts preferred.
