Some of our rehearsal and performance spaces are only accessible by stairs. Please let us know if you need accommodations.
All roles are non-equity and unpaid. Langhorne Players is a Community Theater and actors are asked to participate in production activities.

We encourage performers of all races and ethnicities, gender identities, sexualities, and abilities to audition. We also welcome new performers and performers looking to get back on stage. Please note this is a non-union, non-paying production. Transparency and open communication are values that are extremely important to us; if you have any questions, please email the director at: [email protected]
CONFLICTS: Please refrain from auditioning if you have any conflicts with tech week (July 11-17) and/or show dates (see above). Please provide known conflict dates during the rehearsal period at the time of your audition.
ABOUT THE PLAY: Gus, a successful white artist, becomes outraged when his paintings are rejected from a major gallery showing--"too much chicken sausage over at the museum." So he hires Vanessa, a talented Black actress, to play Balkonaé Townsend, the fictional "artist" behind his pieces. But when Balkonaé takes center stage, Gus begins to wonder if he's really in control of the narrative. WHITE explores the space between art and artist and asks the question, why do people in positions of privilege try so hard to seem oppressed?
CASTING BREAKDOWN: All roles are open. We acknowledge that some roles we list fall on gender binary, but invite transgender and non-binary performers to audition for the roles they most identify with. We are seeking 4-5 energetic, dynamic performers to fill the following -
GUS: An Artist. Wants to be acknowledged by the art world. Queer, white, male-presenting, 20s-30s.
*VANESSA: The Actress. Wants to be seen. A Black woman, 20’s-30’s. Becomes BALKONAÉ, an artist
JANE: The Curator. Wants to curate how she is perceived. White female, 20s-30s
TANNER: The Boyfriend. Wants a healthy relationship. Queer man of color, 20's-30's.
*ST DIANA: A vision of Diana Ross. A Black woman, any age
*May be played by the same actor
