Renaissance Music Theatre Company is accepting video submissions for their Spring 2025 production of the Marsha Norman/Lucy Simon Musical THE SECRET GARDEN. The show will run at Plays and Players Theater in Philadelphia, PA. May 16 to 24, 2025 for a total of six (6) performances. Auditions are for the following roles:
AYAH/DREAMER: Mary's Indian Nanny, Female, Vocal Range: Contralto
FAKIR/DREAMER: Itinerant Hindu Ascetic, Male, Vocal Range: High Tenor
CAPTAIN ALBERT LeNNOX: Mary's Father, Male, Vocal Range: Tenor
DICKON: Martha's Younger Brother, Male, Vocal Range: Tenor
MRS. WINTHROP/DREAMER: Headmistress of a Private School for girls. Female. Vocal Range: Mezzo Soprano
Please prepare 32 measures of a musical theatre song that best shows your vocal range in the style of the show. Songs from the musical will be accepted for this audition submission. NO A-CAPPELLA submissions will be accepted. Prepare a two minute dramatic monologue that best displays character development for the role you are auditioning for.
