About Dare to be Black
Before Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard, there was boxing champion Jack Johnson. He captured the hearts—and in some cases the hatred—of crowds. Although it’s more than a century since Johnson stepped into the ring for that blockbuster bout, his quest for equality has never seemed more timely. This is a one-man show written & performed by Tommie J. Moore. Directed by Bud Martin
