Seeking Local, Non-Union Actors to be Understudies in A Delicate Balance:

[AGNES US] – Female. 50s-60s. Married to Tobias. Sophisticated and articulate. Believes herself to be the heart of the family, keeping everyone in balance. Keeps the peace by not dealing with anything that might upset it.

[TOBIAS US] – Male. 50s-60s. Married to Agnes. A well-to-do, retired businessman. Tolerant and non-judgmental towards those around him. Tends to avoid emotional topics and often tries to soften the mood with alcohol.

[CLAIRE US] – Female. 40s-50s. Agnes’s younger sister. Claims she is more of a willful drinker than an alcoholic. She speaks her mind and is the least affected by social politeness.

[JULIA US] – Female. 30s-40s. Daughter of Agnes and Tobias. Has returned home as a prelude to her fourth divorce. Unashamed of her emotions. Demands that her wants are at least heard, if not satisfied.

[HARRY US] – Male. 50s-60s. Married to Edna and best friend to Tobias. A well-to-do, reserved businessman. A man of few words. He prefers to talk around things rather than going at them straight on.

[EDNA US] – Female. 50s-60s. Married to Harry. Unable to identify her own fears, but quite capable of naming the things that other people are doing wrong in their lives. Not afraid to voice her opinion.
